It showcases the designer's interpretation and artistic expression of the chosen theme through fundamental level design, model construction, scene setup, and a unique overall atmosphere with a personal artistic style.

Level Design and Concept Reference

Mood Board

Prior to starting, I outlined the direction I wanted to take, drawing inspiration from "Silent Hill." I delved into that direction, seeking reference images and inspiration, and created a mood board to capture the desired emotional tone.

Once I settled on the theme, I began with basic level design, drawing inspiration along the way. I created a simple level layout and used appropriate modeling references for initial geometric construction (Blockout). I identified the modular components to be created, established a materials list, and developed a development plan based on the design.
Modelling and Building

Then, following the preparatory work, begin modeling and start building in UE5.

After completing the white box, it's time to create materials and textures, and try various styles on the white box until the right one is found.

Next, add non-architectural scene objects and props (from online resources) to enhance the overall diversity and atmosphere of the scene.

Finally, adjust the lighting and particle effects to create an atmosphere that matches the mood and theme.
